Playback That Behaves

This release is mostly about the small moments where the app said one thing and did another. None of them stopped you working. All of them made you check twice.

The play button at the end of a clip

Run a video to its end, tap play, and the button would switch to pause — over a frame that never moved. Nothing was playing; the control just claimed otherwise, and the frame-step arrows disappeared along with it. Now the button shows a replay symbol once you reach the end, and tapping it rewinds and plays. In a synced comparison it rewinds both clips to the start of the overlap, so the pair stays aligned.

The review screen responds to your finger again

Trim, Share and Delete on a saved analysis sat still under a touch. They worked — an earlier fix made sure of that — but they gave nothing back, which is its own kind of broken when you are not sure whether the tap landed. They press in and light up again.

The button that saves a finished analysis is now the same blue as Export. It was grey, which made a successful save look like nothing had happened at all.

Compare uses the clips you picked, in your order

Selecting two videos in the Library and hitting Compare could put them in either slot, and the pairing could change between launches. The first clip you select is now always the attempt and the second the reference.

One rating request, at a better moment

The App Store rating sheet used to appear as you opened your first video — before the app had shown you anything worth rating. It now waits until you close that first video, and a second ask needs two months and real use in between. The automatic in-app surveys that interrupted a session after a first sync or a third drawing are gone entirely.
