July 2026 Update: Smarter Exports, Faster Marking, and More Reliable Coaching

Published: July 20, 2026 · WithCoach 5.4.0

This release makes the path from reviewing a movement to sharing useful feedback much more direct. Exports now match the framing you chose on screen, marked moments are easier to collect, and comparisons behave consistently whether you are working locally or with connected students.

Export exactly what you framed

The new export flow starts with a live preview and lets you choose the footage and format before leaving the app. Export the full video, a trimmed range, every marked moment as a separate clip, or all marked moments joined into one clip. You can then send the result to Photos, Files, or the iOS share sheet.

“As on screen” preserves the zoom and pan used during analysis, while Original keeps the untouched source framing. Social presets for vertical, square, portrait, and landscape output fit the composition into the selected frame without silently cropping important movement.

Transformed single-video exports also keep the source audio tracks, so applying a trim, zoom, or pan no longer turns an otherwise correct export silent.

Mark important moments without losing your place

Mark In now reveals a contextual preview tray with the moments you have already saved and the range currently being created. Completing Mark Out saves the new moment and gets the tray out of the way, so the video remains the focus while you continue reviewing.

Those marks feed directly into Save and Export. A long training recording can become one concise highlights clip or a set of individual teaching moments without repeating the trim process for every segment.

Comparisons no longer belong to one student

A comparison is now independent of a single student assignment. Its context comes from the two source videos, which means comparing a student with a reference—or videos connected to different people—does not accidentally assign the whole analysis to one account.

Cleaner controls and more dependable sync

Navigation, Feed actions, and comparison menus now use one black-and-white visual hierarchy. The synchronization control keeps its established state signal: its accent is blue before synchronization and green after it, while the label remains readable in white.

We also fixed playback when both videos are synchronized at their very first frame. Tapping Play at a zero-second sync point now moves both videos forward instead of treating the start as a playback boundary.

More reliable coaching workflows

Signed-in cloud state is now kept separate between accounts, and cloud sync turns on only after effective access is confirmed by the server. Students whose selected coach has an expired subscription see a specific recovery message, while the selected relationship remains ready to resume when access is restored.

Core comparison stays free

Local side-by-side comparisons are unlimited on the Free plan. Export and share are available too, with a WithCoach watermark on free output. Pro and eligible coaching access remove that watermark and add the cloud features included with the selected plan.
